Smart Gantry powered by Computer Vision

      Prototypes, Electronics, Smart Vision

In our previous experiment, we saw how computer vision can be used to identify the colour of cloths being used for cleaning the table.

This week, we explore how to use computer vision to identify red cars, and automatically activate a Smart Gantry to open whenever a red car comes along.

This experiment opens up more possibilities of Smart Systems activated by Computer Vision. For example, automated inspection or sorting of differently coloured items on a conveyor belt. For vehicles, perhaps the Smart Vision can be enhanced to support License Plate Recognition. The smart gantry would then only open for vehicles with authorised license plate numbers.

Do you want some automatic eyes to keep watch when nobody else is looking? And perhaps automatically execute certain tasks under specific conditions?
