Ideas are often calling to be tested. And a purpose often drives the motivation to build and improve.
This time, we revisit an old prototype that was used to measure and cut string, and explore if we can make it more effective. Hopefully, we can make string cutting much more convenient for the festive season next year.
Will this be good enough for the next string-cutting season?
Designing and developing is an iterative process. We build, test, review how it works, and go back again to improve the design. There are many ways to approach a problem, and different projects have different priorities on timeline, performance, and elegance etc.
We'll see how it goes at the next string-cutting season in early 2022.
